Mrs. Martha Harroun, age 100 of Grant, died
Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Fountainview Retirement Village in Grant. She
was born Bertha Lily Whilden January 17, 1909 in Scanlon, Minnesota, the
daughter of Albina (La Blance) and George Whilden. She married Richard
Harroun on April 30, 1929 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death
in April, 1978. She then married George Wyatt on 1983 in Wisconsin and
he preceded her in death in 1993. She was employed at RC Allen where she
was an inspector for 15 years retiring in 1996.
She is survived by sons Richard & Mona Harroun, Jr. of Newaygo, Roger & Shirley Herroun of Belmont, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren, her sister Evelyn & Bob Ramer of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by brothers Henry Whilden and Walt Whilden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM from
the McKinley Grant Chapel, on Thursday, June 11, 2009. Interment will be
in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Grand Rapids. Visitation will be
